International Attendance Promotion for Exhibitions, Meetings and Conferences

Attracting international attendees to a U.S. exhibition, meeting, or conference is challenging! Most U.S.-based associations and for-profit companies recognize the need to interact with their colleagues and counterparts throughout the world.

It takes more than obtaining a mailing list and sending a dozen email blasts to assorted countries or counterpart associations. Effective visitor promotion requires relationship building and that takes time, contacts and knowledge. ITI has those relationships and knowledge.

U.S. exhibitions, meetings and conferences should take advantage of the declining dollar (which will not last indefinitely). It makes travel to the U.S. affordable for international guests. It is equally important to make these visitors feel welcome and insure their ROI and ROT (return on time).

Some ITI services include:
  • Conducting market research to determine those countries with the most potential for sending international attendees
  • Developing an international attendee marketing plan - global or by region
  • Initiating or further relationships with counterpart Associations
  • Developing a media list in targeted countries
  • Communicating regularly with U.S. Embassies, Consulates, Trade offices and American Chambers of Commerce
  • Helping to create promotional materials for counterpart international exhibitions, meetings and conferences
  • Providing content for the international part of the organization's website
  • Training your staff on how to successfully communicate with international visitors.
  • Working with internationally based travel agents who promote exhibitions, meetings and conference attendance.
  • Producing International Visitor E-Newsletters about the show
